Meet Elina from Stockholm
Interview with Elina, a customer of Mawrble with a great eye for interior design, whose previous home attracted attention by French design page Planète Déco thanks to her beautiful interior.
Elina has moved back home after many years in London and now lives in Kungsholmen with her little Pomeranian-Chihuahua Nico. She works as a general counsel at a tech company and is passionate about interior design in her spare time.
You have a beautiful home, where do you get your inspiration from?
Thank you so much! I love to reimagine a space by small or unexpected measures to enhance and transform it. That’s what I’ve tried to do with the three apartments I’ve renovated in London and in Stockholm. I draw inspiration from lots of different sources, like places I’ve visited and travelled, all the way from cute cafés to beautiful Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in, and of course, dreaming away on Instagram or Pinterest.
How would you describe your interior design style?
I love to mix texture, nuance and style, like blending Scandinavian minimalism with luxe art deco and rustic vintage.
What were you looking for when you were searching for a table?
I wanted something unique that would stand out, yet be a warm and inviting spot for long, cozy dinners.
What do you like most about your table?
I am utterly in love with the dramatic marbling and the earthy rose-brown tone that I hadn’t seen before. It’s such a ‘WOW’ piece of furniture that I will want to keep forever.
How was your shopping experience with Mawrble?
I adored that I was able to hand-pick the specific stone slab and the way it was cut – such a customer-centric experience that had me longing for my table to arrive!
