Meet Clint from Amsterdam
Clint, 36, lives with his two cats Flip and Witte in Amsterdam. He works as an in-house legal counsel for a company and has a great taste when it comes to design and architecture.
We got the pleasure to interview him about his interior style and experience with Mawrble.
You have a beautiful home, where do you get your inspiration from?
I love old buildings with a lot of character, especially the very typical and instantly recognisable Haussmann apartments in Paris. Oak chevron floors with abstract art and contemporary furniture and modern lighting. I live in Amsterdam, which also has very distinct old buildings. The building my apartment is in, is the classical 17 & 18th century style Amsterdam building (like the old buildings on the canals).
How would you describe your interior design style?
The interior design style of my apartment is clearly based on the immensely chic Haussmann style Paris apartments. However, it is not a copy. The original details in my apartment like the century old wood beams in the ceiling are an eye catcher. Together with the oak chevron floor, it resulted in a warm and contemporary interior with great original elements.
What were you looking for when you were searching for a table?
I have wanted a marble dining table for years. My apartment has a pretty square layout, so I decided that a round dining table would be a welcome change to the interior. It took me quite a while to find something unique and truly beautiful though. Most of the (online) sellers had nice tables, but it wasn’t special. Since marble is such a special material, I really wanted the design of the table to be very high quality as well. One morning, I was scrolling through Instagram and there it was, the PIU marble dining table of Mawrble in black. I knew immediately that this was exactly what I have been waiting for.
What do you like most about your table?
The unique design and the very high build quality. The materials used are impeccable, the finishes have a very high standard and the overall end product is stunning. It’s always a bit of a gamble ordering a product like this online, but it paid off really well. The amounts of compliments I have received for the table and its design are numerous.
How was your shopping experience with Mawrble?
The purchasing experience with Mawrble has simply been amazing. I’ve had lots of help from the team in figuring out what the best diameter would be for the table. Eventually I came to the conclusion the two standard sizes of the PIU dining table (100 cm and 120 cm) would be too small for my apartment. The team was extremely helpful in designing a 150 cm version of the table. Furthermore, I got the pick to slab of stone and also which peaces of that slab would be cut. You actually get to design your own table that way. The veining of my table is exactly how I like it. The fabrication time was fast and shipping was very smoothly. Within a couple of weeks I had a custom designed table, delivered right at my doorstep. I couldn’t be more happy and would recommend Mawrble to anyone looking for great marble products.
